The Holmes Dyer team completed the Tumby Bay Strategic Plan in mid-2024, delivering a comprehensive document that outlined the directions sought and opportunities available to the Council by leveraging the large-scale State government infrastructure projects in the region. The Implementation Plan focused on supporting and sustaining population growth, particularly in key employment industries, including housing initiatives, key worker employment, and social services.
Given the Council’s small size and budgetary challenges, the team employed innovative thinking to overcome limitations, seeking external partnerships and funding opportunities.
The Plan was developed through extensive in-person and digital consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, including progress associations, community sports and social groups, school representatives, the general community, and elected members.
The final document was highly visual, effectively bridging the gap between complex data and the need for readability and accessibility.
