Tourism and Economic Development Strategy

Project Info:

Holmes Dyer, in collaboration with Claire Ellis Tourism Analysis and Solutions, has developed a tailored, engaging, strategic, and implementable Tourism and Economic Development Strategy for the Adelaide Plains Council and its communities.
This strategy is recognised as a priority for the growing economy and community of Adelaide Plains, which benefits from its strategic location on the fringe of metropolitan Adelaide, alongside key coastal and regional partners.
The Tourism and Economic Development Strategy aims to assist the Adelaide Plains Council in:

  • Identifying tourism and market investment initiatives;
  • Increasing visitor numbers, spending, and overnight stays;
  • Facilitating economic development opportunities for the district;
  • Creating a supportive environment for small businesses;
  • Maintaining business competitiveness and increasing profitability;
  • Identifying areas for future economic exploration and development;
  • Delivering proactive marketing strategies; and
  • Identifying practical outcomes that support investment attraction.

  • Contextual review to align broader investment and development drivers with the local Tourism and Economic Development Strategy;
  • Identification of key stakeholders and delivery of a relevant engagement strategy;
  • Elected Members and community engagement to align Council and community expectations for strategies,
