South-West Sydney Housing and Land Development

Project Info:

Holmes Dyer has prepared a concept for a large site in a major growth precinct of south-west Sydney, comprising a combination of traditional housing, small lot housing, low scale apartments (up to 4 storeys), and mixed use buildings which provide a commercial frontage to the main entry road.

The concept delivers in excess of 50 dwellings per hectare while retaining a low rise approach which comfortably interfaces with traditional suburban housing.

The design is focused upon a central open space spine which ensures that all residents are within 200m of open space, and which provides connectivity through the site to the main street precinct. A combination of traditional streets and laneway access help to deliver ample on street car parking and avoids excessive driveway crossovers on street frontages.
