Holmes Dyer has prepared detailed housing and site development concepts for a number of sites in Launceston, involving analysis of land suitability, concept planning for individual sites, review of the relevant planning scheme requirements and preparation of floorplans, elevations, cross sections, landscape concepts, materials and finishes detailing, and shadow diagrams.
Sites have included locations with significant slope, bushfire regulations, vegetation cover, and historical easements which have required careful selection of areas suitable for residential development.
Holmes Dyer worked closely with Launceston Council throughout the planning application process to deliver a range of dwelling typologies on individual sites, and in some cases entire streets, which would provide much needed uplift and housing availability in areas such as Ravenswood, Rocherlea, Waverley and Summerhill.
All sites have received planning approval and are currently under construction.Once developed, a total of 104 dwellings comprising of two and three bedrooms across a variety of detached, semi-detached and apartment typologies will be provided for the provision of much needed social housing managed by a community housing provider.
