Holmes Dyer was engaged by the developer of Kings Quarter at Kingston (Tasmania) to provide advice on appropriate car parking standards to serve a medium / high density housing, community services, and commercial development immediately adjacent to the Kingston main street.
The project sought to encourage increased walkability, being adjacent to a wide range of local retail, recreation, and community services and greater bus use, being adjacent to a bus terminal, and thereby discouraging dual car ownership among purchasers and tenants of the new development.
