Directors of Holmes Dyer were engaged by the State Government to investigate and evaluate the development suitability and potential of a number of prospective growth corridors and precincts around metropolitan Adelaide as a basis for their consideration from inclusion in the 30 Year Plan for Greater Adelaide.
The analysis involved consideration of the following key factors for each corridor / precinct:
- Infrastructure access;
- Transport networks / linkages;
- Environmental issues;
- Market acceptance;
- Community service access;
- Cultural and heritage issues;
- Agriculture land quality; and
- Developability / viability.
Locations were evaluated and scored against weighted criteria and prioritised for development. Some areas were excluded from development where key criteria could not be met.
