Holmes Dyer was engaged to assist Yorke Peninsula Council
with a joint Elected Member and staff workshop to clarify
the vision and strategic directions for the Council and distil
these directions into spatial implementation opportunities
in the form of planning policy and related activities.
Multiple sessions were delivered during the one-day
workshop which was prepared and facilitated by Holmes
Dyer to:
- Establish strategic goals and identify opportunities
and challenges for the Council; - Revisit a meaningful vision for Council based on
these goals, opportunities and challenges; - Establish a relevant context for the vision by
identifying what would facilitate or prevent its
achievement; and - Identify spatial priorities and other actions that
could facilitate the achievement of the Council’s
goals and vision.
Holmes Dyer collated all workshop materials, prepared a
summary report of the outcomes, and produced a concise
one-page strategy to assist with the future alignment of
Council strategic and spatial planning.
