National Planning Codes Assessment
Project Info:
South Australia is seeking to implement a new planning system. A fundamental tenet of the new system will be a ‘Planning and Design Code’.
Holmes Dyer was engaged to review Planning Codes across the Country and to provide advice as to how the Codes work and which aspects with and without modification may be suitable for application in South Australia having regard to the desired objectives of the legislation.
Codes were assessed for:
- Legibility and user friendliness;
- Ability to deliver high quality and timely on-ground outcomes;
- Ability to enable innovation; and
- Overall applicability and/or learnings generally.
